Welcoming the Summer
Short routines for long-term gains
After a long wait, finally we are getting a glimpse of some warm sunny days, giving us an indication that Summer is waiting outside the door!
Everyone looks forward to welcoming this beautiful time of the year which brings golden sunshine to nourish us.
This sunshine also fills the entire nature with flowers and greens, a warm fragrant fresh breeze, chirping of birds, happy laughs & talks with family and friends. In other words, there are smiles everywhere.
This beautiful sunny summertime can get so busy with entertaining & spending time with our loved ones and doing outdoor activities that we don't realize we miss out on receiving the silent gifts nature brings to us.
Hidden power of Summer warmth
Summer is that important & golden time of the year which has the hidden power in its warm breeze to heal, strengthen & nourish our body, mind & soul. This warm air is magical as it contains the fresh energy of the blooming vegetation, salty nourishing air rising up from the oceans, therapeutic fragrance of the flowers and the healing aroma of mother earth. These hidden powers are needed to be used for our benefit by expanding the capacity of our lungs with gentle & stretchy movements of the body. This magical time comes for a short period in a year and must not let go to waste by not giving a little time to our mindful exercises.
As we progress with age, always remember our body and mind needs more attention to maintain good health and a sound mind.
Although time slips so fast and as it gets busier spending time with our loved ones, I would emphasis that in spite of many activities on our plate, don't forget to spend some moments just with yourself to meditate, breathing mindfully and stretching your body to receive the magical gifts of the summer months.
Try to manage your time in such a way that you have a minimum of 15 minutes to spare for yourself for doing some mindful movements of stretching & opening your body to send fresh energy to different parts of your body. Do not let go of this precious time which is going to strengthen & balance your mental & physical system to help you cope with the rest of the year.
Short practices for Summer
Keeping all the above factors in mind, i have created special 15-20 minute routines of YogYam practices for this special summertime. By doing these systematic YogYam short routines from Monday to Sunday, your soul with thank you for the rest of the year for taking care of your body and mind's health.
In other words, don't forget yourself. Because we all want to live for loving our loved ones, do these short mindful routines for long term gain.
These routines will be available in your Library from 20th of June for you to practice at your own pace and convenient time for your holistic wellness.
Facebook Private Group: Mindfully Enlightened
I am also starting from 20th June, a Facebook Private group Mindfully Enlightened for doing many mindful activities/tasks, regular Live meditations and making friendships with like-minded souls who are on the similar journey as you are. So, its time to motivate others and get motivated ourselves.
In my next post, you will also get the tips of do's & do nots on how you should practice Yoga & meditations during the summer months. I will cover what precautions you should take and the many benefits you can gain by practicing correctly.
